The Princess Toadstool Scandal

Once upon a time, there was the Mushroom Kingdom. Overseen by Princess Peach Toadstool, the land was peaceful and had nice little music that followed you along as you could walk along and collecting coins. Princess Peach baked cakes and threw polite parties.

But it wasn't enough for her.

No, nothing was enough. Nothing could satisfy her.

But there were no men in the Mushroom Kingdom of whom she shared any attraction or interest. There was nothing about them that she found unique.

And then he came along. The ruler of a foreign country.

King Bowser Koopa. The Mushroom Kingdom and the Land of the Proud Koopa had been in fighting for centuries and centuries. And so, after the people grew tired of the distress and loss of loved ones that resulted in the wars and blood shed, a peace-negotiation was held. It failed.

And that's where Toadstool met him. He was like nothing she had ever seen. After the negotiation, she followed him to his room.

Princess Peach had finally found someone.

But there were problems that she discovered could arise. She was a princess, after all. How would it look if she was with the ruler of a rival land?

But she had a plan.

Not wanting to sacrifice her reputation, Princess Peach arranged with Bowser to seemingly kidnap her, so there she could be with him in his castle, and they could live happily.

And then the plumbers came along. The humans, Mario and Luigi, were determined to find the princess and save her. They journeyed throughout the Mushroom Kingdom until they found and "saved" her.

And so, Princess Peach was given another idea. She could make it look as if she was dating this "Mario" which would not look as bad as it would if everyone knew she was dating a giant scaly reptilian that ruled an enemy country.

Thus, Princess Peach could not wait for Bowser to come and get her back, as was planned. And she didn't put up a fight when it happened. The cycle would continue for years to come.

A plot's a plot, I guess.

Oh, look. It's this theory again.

And it still creeps me out every time I hear it.

^ Don't worry, I'm not going to start writing fan-fiction and crap about it.

But it just makes sense.

I actually like this theory. I mean, the way she acts all ditzy could easily be a face, and not her real self.

Plus, note how Bowser never really tries to hurt her or anything. It could be mutual, it could be only on Bowser's end, who knows. The one thing I definately believe is that Bowser is in love with her, and is just terrible at romance, hence the kidnapping.

We have no idea who the Mother is, which means anything could've happened. For all we know, they could've been made geneticically using his DNA. Nobody knows.

In fact, the only time we got an idea of who one of Bowser's children's mother is is in Sunshine.(not going to spoil it, though)

I completely support this theory, and it's really the only sensical (like Mario is sensical, but whatever) one that I've ever seen to explain the Koopalings and Bowser Jr.

I think I read somewhere that the Koopalings aren't actually Bowser's kids, they're just kids that work for him.

^ When I saw that you posted in this thread, I had expected you to say something like, "Pffft, everyone knows that the one Peach really loves is Daisy."

...I'm not one for spoiling games. Common knowledge isn't common for everyone.

Is it sad that I think this is probably the canon pairing?

Must every person want it? The obvious answer is yes, for most.
