Hello all Mario fans !

I've got a difficult question for you (and I don't have the answer ) : which character has been saved more than all others in Mario's games ?

I know that the answer is in this list :
- Peach
- Toad
- Luigi
But be careful ! The question doesn't precise that this character is only saved at the end of the games !!! That's why I'm not sure that is Princess Peach :s !

I've made a very long search by Google but the answer doesn't appear :'( ! And you, have you got the answer (with Web sources for the verification) ? That will be cool ! Thanks !

Probably Toad, I'm guessing. Just a thought though, because you save 1 or 2 in every castle in SMB. But...it that the Toad or Toad as a species?

I think that is only THE Toad, not all mushroom boys ! In Super Mario Bros 1 (SNES) ? It's the same Toad for each castle ? Which number of castle ?

It's a very hard question grr !

Some people might actually say Princess Peach right away without giving a second thought. The answer is more than likely Toad. Even more so in the remake of SMB for the SNES (Super Mario All-Stars) in which more than one Toad is rescued each world. The answer is most definetly Toad.

(NOTE: Mario himself had also gotten saved a few times. Like in Mario's Missing, Luigi's Mansion, and the upcoming DS Peach game... but I'm pretty sure everyone knew that already).

It depends, I guess. In SMB there are 7 Toads. Then there are The Lost Levels, which keep going even after 8-4. Counting the remakes of SMB only, in all-stars 7 becomes 14. Counting SMB deluxe, 14 becomes 21. And then the Lost Levels come into play again, bringing the count well above the "Mario saves princess" total.

There's a different Toad for each level, though. It only makes sense- the only level in which Bowser's not really a Buzzy Beetle or Goomba or Bloober when you fireball him to death is 8-4, so why should we have a Dupli-Toad on our hands rather than the much simpler "There's more than one" answer?

In other words, what you guys just said, but longer.

Maybe we have a response from Miyamoto himself ! But to find it...
I know that is really ambiguous, but I can't determine if the question is about "one Toad" or "all Toad" !
In which games Mario needs to save Peach ? I only know :
- Mario Bros. (NES)
- Super Mario Bros. (SNES)
- Super Mario 64 (N64)
- Paper Mario (N64)
- Mario 64 DS (DS)

Off the top of my head...

Super Mario Brothers 3
Super Mario World
Super Mario Sunshine
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
All the remakes (Super Mario Brothers Deluxe, Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario 64 DS, etc.)

Augh. You entered a Super Mario Bros. Forum under the impression that Super Mario Bros. was for the SNES. I hate you now.

And Mario did not save the princess in Mario Bros.

Edit: Might as well add to the list, though...

Super Mario Land
Super Mario RPG (from Booster, remember?)

The answer to your question is toad.

Think about it. How many toads did you save in smb and then what about sm64, you save all the toads that are stuck in the walls.
