Deathmatch #1: Jinx vs. The Master

Yeah, I'm doing a weekly thing now. In Deathmatch, two or more characters from the Mario series will face off, and you the voters will decide which one reigns supreme. Your choice doesn't necessarily have to be the one you think would win in a fight, though. It could be the one you think is cooler. Or the one you think is funner. Or the one you think is cuter. For whatever reason, vote for the one you like the best.

This week's match features two of the mightiest martial artists Mario has ever battled. They both run dojos, they both train apprentices, and they both serve as challenging optional opponents in their respective RPGs. But which one is the superior master?

In the red corner is the dojo master of Monstro Town, the pint-sized powerhouse Jinx!

Appearances: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
+ Rewards Mario with an accessory that boosts stats and protects against instant-death attacks.
+ Uses the most powerful physical attack in the game.
+ Judge him not by his size.
- With a high-enough level he's no challenge to fight.

And in the gold corner, we have the dojo master of Toad Town, the Toad that lives up to his name, The Master!

Appearances: Paper Mario
+ The most powerful enemy in the game.
+ Geriatric ass-kicker.
- Rewards Mario with a piece of paper that does nothing.

Those are the contenders. Who do you think deserves the title of coolest dojo master in the Marioverse?
