can you actually unlock sonic and tails as playable characters???¿¿¿??? i dont know if the rumor is true and i thought this would be the place to find out. if they do exist and u have unlocked them some screenshots would be lovley but i think im asking to much there.

Yes you can, it's just really really hard and only a few people know about it. What did you think those spaces on the bottom left and right hand sides of the player select screen were for?

You have to unlock Alexandra Roivas first. You unlock her by beating Eternal Darkness on all three routes on Normal Mode, then all three routes on Eternal Mode. You have to have your Eternal Darkness file and your Smash Brothers Melee file on the same card, and your Smash Brothers will recognize the ED data, and Alex is yours.

After that, you have to do something with Alex to get Sonic and Tails, but I don't remember what. Does anybody else know?

Beat every All Star Match event with Alex in 2 minutes 20 seconds or less. Then you unlock Event Match 52- Director's Cut- Where you're given 10 stock and must defeat every character in the game, one at a time, in triple-giant form, on Final Destination.

Finish that, and lo and behold- Sonic and Tails are finally yours. I think. I've never pulled it off myself but my cousin's best friend's little brother swore it was legitimate.

You can unlock event 54-100 if you unlock all the Sonic characters!

(Knuckles, Rogue, Shadow, Emerl, Cream, Sonic, Tails, Big, Amy, Espio, Charmy, Vector, E-102, Omega, and Eggman)

well ill admit you actually had me fooled up until the viewtiful joe part (i think that game looks stoopid) then i realized it was all a big lie.

especialy because the whole event 52 idea seemed a little fishya and because I have been web surfing tryin 2 figure out if the sonic and tails myth is true for atleast a year from time to time so i think i would have seen some of these fake codes. heck i even recall a sight where some idiot posted a code to unlock solid snake, the "code" involved breaking your gamecube with a baseball bat and then telling your mom u fixed it and then bashing her head in with said baseball bat until you see her brains.
