You got the rumor wrog. It was Bowser Jr, Cel-Link and RIDLEY, not Diddy Kong.

Ridley needs to get in. Metroid needs more representatio. Maybe Dark Samus as well to represent the Prime series?

It would seem like that at first, but DS has the attacks to become her own character, not a clone.

There was another rumor that in an interview in Japan Sakurai said that he wanted more female chracters in brawl. I forgot about this rumor when I made this topic otherwise Vacum Luigi and Sunshine Mario wouldn't be up there. I can't edit the poll so just all votes for either of them count as a vote for Daisy (SM) or Krysta. (VL)

The only problem with Little Mac is that he was in a game that is around 15 years old. Alot of the people playing SSBB will never have heard of him. In Melee Mr. G&W had already recently apeared on the Gameboy E-Reader, Nintendo was probaly also planning to release FE in some form to North America before Melee and simply put them in Melee to see what their reception would be. Little Mac's only recent appearence was a VC game. Thats not to say he won't get in, but if he does he will most likely become an AT.

That would be why a made that post saying that all votes for SM and VL counted as Daisy (SM) and Krystal(VL). The reason being that there was another interview were Sakurai supposedly said he wanted more female characters in this game. Those two would have the highest chances of getting in.
