Quite so.

Bolt: this won't take us to the Shop Channel. The shop channel requires connecting to the WFC: apparently these can be played straight from the disc.

I agree that the VC needs demos, though.

ƒXƒ}ƒuƒ‰Œ!!

Check under Super Metroid.

Sakurai is mocking English Mother fans, now, I swear. This could be a good sign for a VC release, it's a backhanded confirmation of Ness...but it makes me want EarthBound on the VC right now.

I meant figuratively being taken to Wii Shop.

Wow. They get Earthbound in Japan? Granted, I own the cart so I don't really care, but that's still so rude.

No, they haven't gotten it yet. That's part of the problem. Nobody has it.

I'm not so sure I'm glad the "virtual console" demos are available on SSBB. It seems useless and the space could be better spent towards more content. Besides, I have most of those already except for Ice Climbers.

Well, I think it's nice letting people see what games these characters come from.

Besides they probably only have the first two levels or something.

You'd have to be in elementary school, or be living under a rock not to know where the characters came from.

Not even. If you were born in the 90's you definitely missed the whole NES era.

^Not really.

Back when SSB came out, I only knew of Pikachu,Jigglypuff, Mario,Luigi, DK, Yoshi, and Link. I never saw Samus, Captain Falcon, or Ness

So, a Demo would be nice.

Besides, Tekken includes it's first Three Games in it's fifth iteration, and it still kicks butt, why not let Nintendo do this?

Maybe I'm just old then. But I did know all the nintendo characters when SSB came out. Same went for SSBM. Ike could definitely be an exception as he was from Fire Emblem (japanese only there).

The only one I didn't know from the original was Captain Falcon. And I also didn't really know Ness's name, but I recognized the face.
In Melee, I knew everyone but Marth & Roy.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Ike was in the Gamecube game, which was released in America, and also the Wii game, which was released in America.

I knew everyone in both games. I talked Fire Emblem with an old-time member from here who had played translated ROMs of the FE games, and he clued me in on Marth and Roy before SSBM came out.

For the life of me, I can't remember his name. He might not have even been from here.

In the japanese page you can also find Fire Emblem 3 and Mother 2 (Earthbound). Maybe they're taking their time to translate those games?

(Yes, I know Eathbound has been translated already, but what about other games?).
Once again, do you think the delay is due to those games, espacially the japan-only ones?
