Actually, 99.7

Because they took away end-of-the-battle bonuses, Target Test is completely useless, and they took away the best mini-game ever- "Race to the Finish."

But, you know, it's still pretty effing amazing.

I'm actually pretty bummed out about that one too. It seems like such a dumb thing to remove. Why remove them? It couldn't have required much extra effort to program them into the game. They were fun. Boo.

98.75

It loses points for the lack of a way to see if anyone is online in "Play With Anyone" and for tuning down the Brawl AI dificulty.

It gains points for the stages(Pirate Ship is incredible), having so many characters, including a boss fight mode, for the SSE, for co-op stadium and events, and for coin launcher.

I've barely gotten to touch the single-player, but then, it is my roommate's game & I've been busy all week.

In multiplayer though (I'm intentionally pointing out flaws, don't go off on me for it):
CDs vanish wayyyyyyyyyyy too quickly.
Also sometimes I've found myself underneath the stage before even knowing I've been hit; somethings gotta be up with that.
A few of the items (motion sensor bomb, screw attack, Franklin badge, & certain foods) are too small to determine what they are until you have them.
I can't quite figure out Lucario's timing. Same with Ike.
Several stages are way too small for 4-player, but keep coming up in the random selection.
CDs vanish WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too quickly.

Sonic & R.O.B. are awesome. The Drug Trip just makes Luigi even better.
I'm trying to figure out Trainer and Olimar, but I think I'll need a chance to use training mode for that.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Unless you people are throwing in all those numbers past the decimal point as a joke, how can the game bloody score an 98.75? Are you such videogame connoisseurs that you can discern the quality of a game to that detail? Pish posh on the lot of your scores. You're all arbitrarily making wild turkey-shoot guesses on the quality of this game, and I'm calling shenanigans.

The game is at least an A game on the scale of A+ to F. Or, on another scale, the game scores at least $50 on how much one should pay for this game to get their value out of it. It's a game no one should be without, and I don't see why we shouldn't just flat out say so without making up a number.

^Because the AI being tuned down is not bad enough to justify removing a whole point. So I removed .25 points.

^ And that's what I'm talking about.

There is no magic formula that states a game rating is five parts graphics, seven parts AI, four parts control schema, eight and a half parts learning curve with equal parts replayability, and a dash of paprika. To say that the "AI component" of an "out-of-X score" equals "N points" is rather silly to begin with because I'll bet you can't actually determine how big a factor a single point in your scoring schema is.

Once you define what precise value a single point actually has, then you can start going and saying that such-and-such feature isn't worth a full percent.

And don't get me wrong; I'm not just criticising your score independent of the others. But people putting decimal points after 98s and 99s as if rounding away that little bit of the score actually means something is rather laughable.

WARNING! SHORT LAME REVIEW APPROACHING!

Roster and stages are amazing, though some of the alt. costumes are a bit disappointing(Seriously, Roy should have been an alt. costume or something). The alt. costume thing is just a nitpick, and I find myself enjoying the characters in this game more than I did Melee's.

Classic and the single-player modes are still cool, especially with a new focus on Co-op. While the SSE is an improvement over the previous Adventure mode, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed by it's plain story, which makes little sense unless you read some trophies.

The Multiplayer Brawl mode is the meat of the game, and it is chock-full of playing modes. You want to have a metal stamina match with flowers? Go ahead.

The Wi-Fi mode also makes it so that you'll never get bored of playing, as you can play with you friends, and you can play with some random loser. The only problems of Wi-Fi I find are the forced time matches for random matches, and lag.

A new addition is the stage builder, which obviously allows you to build your own stage. This is easily one of the greatest features of the game, allowing you to pretty much build any stage you want. You can make a death trap, or recreate an old stage from a previous game.

The selection of Music is AWESOME. Over 300 tracks are present, and the My Music option allows you to place these songs in certain stages, giving more freedom than Melee did.

The graphics are impressive: while the fighters are detailed as hell, you'll notice that several ATs and Pokeballs are less detailed. Still, the graphics are nice, and some of the Wii's best.

Brawl improves the SSB formula, adding more freedom, while bolstering the roster and stages. I give Brawl an A. Or, 97. Whatever.

...jeez, that was a tedious review. :\
