I heard some BAD News (spoilers)

Spoiler Below
I heard there were demos of old games in Brawl. The Japanese version had EarthBound, and the North American version did not. WHY??????? If you're upset like me and you want to take action, click here for more info. And remember if you decide to do what they tell you to do, be polite.

They are just demos. I could really care less about them. You never get the true experience out of them. I would just buy from the virtual console anyway than whine and complain because the japanese got more demos. Most, if not all of us already know what earthbound is like so there's really no true point to the majority even wanting a demo in brawl. I see no reason why anyone should be that upset about it. That demo is too short anyway judging by the video, and it doesn't show anything good about the game.

While I think it's funny and sad that Nintendo (and other video game companies) seem to go out of their way to screw/stick it to US gamers, I can't get too worked up about a demo.-jay

I have to agree with WVW here (wow, really?), it's just a demo, no need to whine about it. On the flipside, most of us didn't know who Pit was, yet they put his there. I mena, if you were worried about the sequel (Mother 3 am I right?) then it's probably because they didn't wanna release any information in the states at this time. Crazy I know, but you really can't do anything now that the game has been released (SSBB), you want them to come to your house and actually install it for you?

Here's the thing though: A lot of us Earthbound fans really, really do care about giving the game and the series recognition. And we're ready to do ANYTHING to get it. I mean, you probably already know of our notoriety already. -CSM

It might be one of the unlockable ones.

And Serebii too. And the Dojo website.

Weird of them to disinclude it.

But not the end of the world. As I said, if they're planning on releasing it over here, then they probably wont' be showcasing the demo just yet. There are many factors other than "screw them", stop overreacting, it's just a 30 second demo, if that.

Holy ****.

I am utterly outraged.

Why the hell would they not include a 10 minute demo of an RPG? And just when I wanted to play a deep and thrilling RPG for 10 minutes.

I agree with WvW on this one. It's just a demo.

You really want to play the game? Download it on the VC.

Is a 10-minute demo included with Brawl really going to satisfy you, then?

It'd still be better than nothing. And it could go a long way towards building interest in the series.

As uniquely awesome as Earthbound is, the first part is the most bland part. From Threed on it really picks up in coolness.

Well keep in mind that the demos come with save files at different points throughout the game.

It's not so much having the demo. It's the moral side to it that they're listening to the large crowd of of well organized people egging Nintendo day in and day out to realease Earthbound and Mother 3 on the Virtual Console in the US and that they're giving our favorite Nintendo series the respect it deserves. -CSM
