But what do you do if someone else does it and aims at you? That's the purpose of this thread. Give your strategies for AVOIDING Final Smashes, such as Lucario's Aura Storm. Speaking of which, anyone know how to dodge that? |

I like using Zelda's Farore's Wind for such occasions, and usually have mild success if I'm on one of the bigger stages. |

I have another question: Also, is it just me or when Samus uses her Final Smash, her armor falls off? How do I get her armor back? Because she sucks without it (she's too hard to control). |

To be actually helpful, yes, it falls off. But I find ZSS better, now that I've practiced. You need to be good with both of them, pretty much. But to get her armor back on, you need to do ZSS' Final Smash. | |

The DOWN SPECIAL Triple Jumps, NOT the up special. But I also love her whip because it gives her physical a great range. |

Maybe it's because I play as Pit mainly, but even when I don't what I do is stay perpendicular to him until the beam appears, then fly as far up and to the left/right as possible, throw in an Up+B in there and usually his beam dies out before it can even touch me. Hm. Other easy ones...I just ground dodge Ness and Lucas's starstorm; same for Kirby's smash (if I'm even close enough to get affected); as much as I love him Pit's smash is also very easy to dodge/shield against (you have to help the centurions out a little bit by getting the opponent off balance); if you're really good you can also ground dodge Link's smash. Snake's is really hard for me to maneuver against. I've been annhilated by it so many times that I sort of have the timing of it down, so what I do for that is jump in the air slightly and air dodge as the grenades hit. I successfully dodged all of them once, and my friend is pretty good with it. Sonic, however...if you know what you're doing with him (as I sort of do because I played the Genesis games back in the day) you can only dodge for so long. If you get the smash ball as sonic, a KO is basically automatic. |

I successfully avoided a Dedede Final Smash, but I died indirectly as a result (evasion put me right near the edge of the level). -CSM |

Otherwise you're bound to be hit at least once. Certain ons....like Ganondorf, and Captain Falcon? You just have to stay the Hell away from them and try to hit them when they're not in a position to use it properly. |

Falcons I think has a bit of delay that makes it easier but still. Ness and lucas are hilariously easy to dodge if you have more then eight feet of movement space. |

Although the former's is slightly harder to deal with because they come in at a slant. |

It's why they're so good at throwing you into the air. Protip with Lucas and Ness: don't get launched. An when I say "small" I mean like Shadow Moses with the walls up. Final Destination isn't really small. |
