2. There was plenty of Mother recognition. However, Mother fans are left bitter by all the Mother 3 stuff in there. I understand both sides of this argument, but it's not worth bitching about.

3. To whoever said "Stop bitching about Mother 3," I kindly say "No." Earthbound is one of my favorite games, I want to play its sequel.

4. Okay, okay, yeah, so Pokemon has a lot of stuff. The thing you have to realize is how crazy, crazy popular it is. I mean seriously. Also, The reason there are a lot of Pokemon trophies? There are a lot of Pokemon. Pokemon got 4 characters (If you count PT as one--I do, since they have to be used together), which is the same number as Mario and Zelda. Star Fox and Kirby got 3, as well.

5. Fire Emblem and Metroid aren't totally unrepresented.
FE: Lots of great, great music, a fun stage, 2 characters, plenty of trophies and stickers.
Metroid: 2 SSE Bosses, 2 Characters (ZSS and Samus are in a totally different league than PT, since their use is totally independent of the other), 2 stages, and even more good music.
A game doesn't need to have 3 characters to be well-represented.

6. There is no number 6.

7.. Man, guys, can't you just play the game and not bitch about it so much? It's a really, really fun game. Why do you have to bring it down so?

Same person, yes. Completely different playstyles, also yes.

Pokemon Trainer is one character because you have to be good with all 3 characters in order to master it.

With ZSS and Samus, you only have to master one character.

1. Jiggs ruled in Melee. In Brawl they seemed to figure out that we were kicking ass with Jiggs and somehow made it harder for her to pull off that supersecret down-B killer move. I found her useful in all of one fight this time, as supposed to Melee, where she was ripping things apart.

2. Even if there was a lot of Mother recognition, Mother also had the most planned stuff removed, including I think 5 songs, and the EB demo was cut out of the US release.

4. It is true that there are a large number of Pokemon, and there should therefore be more Pokemon trophies than others, but for the love of Happy Happyism they need to stay proportionate. They got waaaay out of proportion.

Somehow, I feel like Pokemon is Nintendo's Final Fantasy VII. I guess that's why I don't like it (probably one of the many reasons, others including I consider it Mother's archrival).

5. But ZSS and Samus are the same character. And you can still change between the two. ZSS isn't a character in her own right.

7. There is no such thing as a perfect game. And mind all these things are very nit picky little things. I've never criticized the game as a whole. And even though the trophies and stickers are horrendously biased to stuff released this millennium, the music more than makes up for it by including just about every Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, and Kirby theme I could imagine.

1. Jiggs's Down B getting nerfed does not equal Jiggs being a bad character. Her aerials are still just as good, and you can do some great things like the Wall of Pain a lot easier since her Fair got buffed.

2. I understand. I wasn't really arguing against you there.

4. I say again: There are a lot of Pokemon. I'm not necessarily saying it's the best thing ever, but I understand and really don't mind it.

5. ZSS is, in every way, a character in her own right, at least in the metagame (which is how I usually talk about Smash Bros anyway). You can't switch back to Power Suit Samus without a Smash Ball (which isn't used in the Metagame), and her style of play is completely and totally different. Plus, you only need to master either Power Suit Samus or ZSS, as opposed to PT where you need to master all 3.

7. I know, I know, but sometimes the gripes get out of hand. Maybe they just stand out more because they're so few. But still.

Other than that Jiggs is as equal as all other pokemon, and if you want to base it off the show, Jigglypuff was basically a main character in season 1.

I'll help a bit:
Nerfed: Weakened.
Aerial: An attack made in the air.
Wall of Pain: Here's a link that explains it better than I could.
F-air: A forward, A button (GC controller) Aerial.
Buffed: Strengthened or more powerful.

I personally don't like Jiggs' aerials because she has no triple jump, even though she has the multi-double jump (I like to be able to know when my character's gonna fall), and Meta-Knight has a really powerful triple jump if you know how to use it. -CSM
