Do you have any special modes of play?

In b4 Four Stock, No Items, Fox Only, FINAL DESTINATION.

A little mode I've played with my brother and sister since the original SSB would be to enable Pokeballs only as items, and go to a Pokemon stage with Pokemon characters for a big, Pokemon flapoff. It gets pretty chaotic at times, with the Pokemon summoned from the Pokeballs as well as the ones who appear with the stages.

Another thing I like to do, although it isn't quite a special mode of play as much as it is a special stage, is in Brawl, I've created a couple stages that consist of a large box, with solid floors, walls and ceilings, the only openings being one or two at the top, so the objective is to deal enough damage and launch the opponent out through the small opening in order to land a KO. Gets pretty hectic. It's funny as hell to watch characters literally bounce off the walls with 400% damage.

Well, other than "The Blue Rocket" and others I'll put in my challenges thread[/shamelessplug], I also like playing matches that have only Pokeballs, as well as Assist Trophies and/or Smash Balls.

I used to play with only Beam Swords, and I also like playing purely random matches; Random Character, Random stage, All items.

Other than those, I usually don't play many unique setups, mostly because I don't have the imagination...

I don't really have a special mode of playing for Brawl yet.

But in Melee, I used to put Freezies or whatever and Bats on high. Twas fun.

My brothers and I play against the CPU's at 9 with everyone as "Random"; it certainly makes it interesting, especially when you get a character you absolutely suck as.

And Val, my brother made that same stage...only you couldn't get out of it. >_>

In Melee, the best thing to do is 4P Motion Sensor Bomb (Very High) matches on Hyrule, usually with 2x damage on.

It got so hectic, they would be stuck everywhere and you couldn't strike each other 'cause you'd forget where they were set.

Unless someone picked Pikachu/Pichu.

Then they just sucked.

You can't do it in Brawl sadly, it just doesn't work because there aren't as many appearing. =\

Just thought I'd add, I have another way of playing when the only items that are allowed are explosives, usually just Smart Bombs or Bob-ombs. The fun thing about Smart Bombs is they don't just blow up in your face, they keep you around to accumulate some damage before you get shot off. Bob-ombs are just quicker and more to-the-point. Both modes of play can get pretty hectic.

I once played special Brawl with every option turned on. But who hasn't?
I usually play 5 stock, random stage, all items. Nothing special.

Dunno if this counts, but in Melee, my brother (DK) and I(Mario) (Red Team) would play on Rainbow Cruise against Pikachu and Kirby (Blue Team) who were trying to take over the ship. Y'know that part where the ship starts sinking and you have to board the platforms? DK stayed behind, being the captain, he had to go down with the ship.

I like to put a combination of Fire items (Fire Flower, Explosive Crates, Bombs, Motion Sensor bombs, Smart Bombs and Hotheads) and fight. Those Hotheads get really big!

And I also like Flower Stamina brawl and Heavy Metal brawl.

I have a stage I made that only has one huge spring platform, add to that all the different springy items, and you get a lot of bouncing

I do lots of weird things (mainly in Melee).

1. Giant Melee with only Super Mushrooms
2. Tiny Melee with only Poison Mushrooms
3. Kirby VS Jigglypuff
My personal favorite is: All items disabled on Very High. Exploding crates FTW.
