Here's what I don't understand: How can random item generation be called an unfair advantage? Everybody has the same chance of it happening to them.
Seriously, whenever I'm playing & one person gets 5 Pokéballs in a row or something, we all know that it was just ridiculous chance & don't get mad about it. How do we settle up, if it was even a loosely-competitive situation? Simple: We play another match.

I've often been curious why tournaments are always 1-on-1 or team. Why not try a 4-player match tourney?

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I have a local hobby shop, and every tournament their is a Free 4 All tournament.

And Jesus Christ I hate them, I'd MUCH rather it be a 1v1 tournament, but she doesn't listen to us even though all of us want to do that.

Also, Items are awesome, I have nothing against items, but in a tournament in which it costs money to play or you're competing for something important, wouldn't you rather reduce the luck factor?

in melee its because of explosive crates being randomly generated on top of your attack (which does happen and really sucks)

in brawl its because people are retarded.
