Gamecube Controller or once in a blue moon the Wiimote & Nunchuck. Both work well.

^If there was an issue with my GCN controller (if it's lost, or the batteries died), then I'll use the Wiimote+Nunchuck. It's difficult to use, because it's hard to grab or throw items, but it'll at least work for the time being.

I use GC usually, but I can also use the Classic Controller just fine.

I use the Wiimote and the Nunchuck. Doing two-person co-op battles with those is INSANE.

Like, you have two wiimotes connected each to a nunchuck. Then one person gets a wiimote, the other gets a Nunchuck. And you try to synchronize your movements and kill the other two people. It's hella fun.

That said, I still use the wiimote/nunchuck on normal brawl matches, as well.
