Unconventional playable characters

Super Smash Bros. hosts a lot of different characters from Nintendo games, and despite the 40-45 characters that have already appeared, there are a lot more that fans want to see in the next installment. There's obvious choices, of course. Warriors and killers like Mega Man, Geno, Ridley, Lyn, Simon Belmont, and so on. But there's also characters that have no business being in a fighting game. It's not like this is unprecedented, though. Just look at Captain Falcon and Dr. Mario.

What are some unconventional characters you'd like to see in the next SSB game? And what would their fighting style be like? Here's a few of my ideas.

Phoenix Wright (Ace Attorney)

Lawyers aren't usually associated with being able to kick ass. Phoenix could probably throw punches and kicks like anyone. To borrow from his cancelled appearance in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, one of his attacks could involve shouting "OBJECTION!", the speech bubble of which would damage enemies. Perhaps he could whip out his DA's badge to reflect attacks. Maybe his final smash could involve him using his magatama to cause chains to appear around an enemy, with each chain breaking and causing major damage. It's hard to come up with moves for him, but not impossible.

Andy (Advance Wars)

Andy's a commanding officer, so he doesn't really fight as much as he tells others how to fight. But he does seem to always carry wrenches around, so he could probably use those as a weapon. Perhaps he could also use guns, rockets, grenades, or mines--not far-fetched, considering he's a military man. His final smash could involve summoning a tank, either to pilot himself, or to aid him independently; or summoning a bomber.

Professor Layton (guess)

I imagine Layton could engage in good ol' fisticuffs, even if it is a bit ungentlemanly. We know he's good at swordplay, so perhaps he could use a sword in some of his attacks. Some of his improvised devices could come into play too, for example, his Up+B could have him pull out a miniature version of his glider from The Curious Village. Another attack (or possibly his final smash) could have him whip out his casino gun from The Unwound Future. Another possible final smash could involve the Laytonmobile (think a better version of Wario's bike). Puzzles need to be worked in somehow, but I'm not sure how. Perhaps it could be a Down+B attack, where he thinks up a puzzle... and causes something random to happen? (Kind of like G&W's Down+B.)

Layton slot machine gun is a must.

I feel like Amaterasu from Okami could be cool. Attack people by painting shiz all over the place. You THOUGHT you could attack me, and then LOL TREE. Up+B could be painting a short midair path (the star ocean or whatever) that lasts for a very limited time to get you back up. I dunno how the gameplay would work out but it is possible.

Tingle: He could have a move that stuns opponents. In fact, probably all of his moves would stun opponents.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Anyone from a point-and-click adventure game would count. Bernard would kick ass.

Boshi from SMRPG. Basically, a heavy-weight Yoshi-type fighter.

I'd think Sami would make a better Smash character than Andy. She's a front-line fighter, Andy's a mechanic. Maybe her Final Smash could involve calling in another Orange Star CO though.
