Stage of the Month #3: Winter is almost upon us...

Icicle Mountain
Featured in: Melee
Source series: Ice Climber
Home characters: Ice Climbers

Availability: Starter
Type: Ick-Heinous (Scrolling)
Hazards: Vertical scroll, Breakable ice, Collapsing platforms

Music:
"Icicle Mountain"
"Balloon Flight"

Trivia:
--Thunder is near-useless on this stage, because the offscreen platforms remain generated at all times.
--This is the only Melee stage to double as a platforming level in Adventure mode. In Adventure, though, it only scrolls upwards instead of both ways, & the mountain is littered with Topis & Polar Bears until you actually reach the fight with Nana & Popo.

This may be my least favorite stage in all 3 games. Admittedly, though, it is an excellent example of a home stage that fits its character's play style; with their strong jumping & Belay, the Climbers have no trouble keeping up with the scroll, & with no real bottom pit, Nana survives much longer.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Not a bad stage. Viable for Tourneys? Hell no. Fun to play on? I find it so. I definitely enjoyed its Adventure Mode counterpart. Except for waiting for the scrolling to speed up at times. Why u so slow?

Well, I play Luigi, who has no trouble keeping up with the scroll, but it's still annoying.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
