The paper I recorded on is downstairs, but it was something like

1st: +4
2nd: +7
3rd: +11 (DK had something like -12)

I checked and re-checked all the requirements, I had everything. Looks like I'm in the lead again.

I extend the lead. I got a good strategy, and...

DK: -15

Did another try and I got the same score. I think +21 is my stopping point.

I've got a:

Me: +11
Bowser: -5
DK: -14

I'm not worried about Bowser at all, really. He does a lot of damage, yes, but he has short reach, compounded by everyone being bigger. DK, on the other hand, can hit from halfway across the level when the turtle is down, making him much more dangerous. Took me a few tries to stop jumping off the edge, too, but as I said- with the skill to parry, you don't have to worry so much about getting hit. (Also, avoiding the poison mushrooms is imperative.)

Tingle gets on my nerves in this stage, but the turtle saved me once or twice by coming up at the most convenient times.
