A game series so awesome it deserves it's own special topic. Forget the GBA remakes, they suck. The original SNES games are teh awesomeness.

And from what I heard Rare's Xbox games are nowhere near as good as their Nintendo games. Blame American gaming companies like Microsoft who buy up intellectual property and make people make crap from it.

The original people who work at Rare all left the company anyway. -CSM

I remember staying up for nights on end playing Donkey Kong Country. I still own the cartridge, surprisingly (while all of my other SNES games have disappeared... SUPER METROID! NOOOOOOO!

)

I have minimal play on the second one, and I didn't even know there was a third one until a few years back.

But even after all that, I still prefer the originals. DKC will hold a special place in my heart. The game still stands the test of time and proves that you can have lots of fun without going overboard with gore and violence.

(That might seem a little staggering considering I'm a Doom fan, but take it for what it's worth.)

Who cares about the characters, Donkey Kong Country 2 didn't have DK as a playable character, that people say that was the best DKC game. Besides, I didn't mind DCK3.

The main thing I liked about DKC3 was that it was still good. I'd even say it was on the same level as 2.

If my memory serves me correct (Which it does) DK and Diddy were captured by K.Rool.

DKC3 wasn't all that bad. Ellie (The elephant) Was by no means a suitable Rambi replacement.
