Maybe for the environment?! Otherwise I totally disagree. They're really annoying to pass on one lane roads. Makes you want to off them into the ditch (if you live where I do).

Whenever I think of one of these things, I think about the late 20-something year old guy that lives with his grandmother who constantly works on this thing as if it is a true bike.

So I guess that's where my bias comes from.
