I took an Amtrak train round trip.

It's like an airplane, but cheaper and with a dining car.

I didn't even take the Acela, which is their really good line.

Railroads > Airplanes.

^Hopefully, Pennsylvania will step up and start taking some initiative. Pennsylvania has a rich railroad past and it needs to start thinking about its future. Once they can put up the money to tunnel under the Allaghenys, they can start thinking about a high speed rail line between Pittsburgh and Philly. -CSM

A transcontinental railroad won't work for today's high speed slick passenger trains. In order for those to work, there needs to be smaller, regionalized systems operated by multi-state agencies. -CSM
