VGF Forums

Specifically, how calm this place is. How friendly everyone is.
I say this because after reading comments on a recent GoNintendo article, I was infuriated by the stupidity, elitism, and pomposity I saw.

Some quotes:

"Can you imagine the games we'd be playing if Nintendo would suck it up and invest in a network like Xbox live?"
"Nintendo are a bunch of lazy, cheap, power hungry demons who seek to destroy the very foundation of our Industry just to milk a few casual gamers who won't even be gaming a few years from now"
"I'm sorry, but if Punch Out!! is considered GOTY worthy, it hasn't been a very busy year..."
"well no, they dont care about your narcissistic, dumb ass, but they do care about trying to expand the industry and bring entertainment to more people."
And this is far from the worst of it.

But...then I come to VGF. None of this stuff is here (at least, not as much). We're a community dedicated to talking about actual games. Not "why your favorite console sucks", "why you suck", or "why everything sucks". We talk about what we like, what we don't, and don't start wars over it. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't have to worry about such arguments here.
I love you guys.

What I like about VGF is that everyone is level-headed, rational, and speaks a discernable language.

Also, Val is here. :D

BTW: I am also a witch.

I think there's two reasons:
  1. We have a crack mod squad who have no mercy.
  2. We have several sub-forums to vent stupidity, like how the Enterprise can vent warp plasma in the event of a hull breach.

Whenever I go to other Forums, I get floored by the unvented Rage everyone has, Mods as well as members.

The MUGEN Community especially is filled with every flavor a rage.

So, yeah. I like it here.

Did you read Daedalus's Children, where the antitachyon particles charge the duranium hull causing a temporal polarization cascade? No? I didn't think so.

VGF as an entity got that out of its system years and years and years ago, back in the stone ages when people still used email and G routers.
