December and no snow!

Yeah, snow's beautiful and all...but after a couple days it all gets filthy, dirty, gunky and yucky. At least by that point it's a replacement for another evil - Snow on the road. By that point it's melted, and the roads aren't icy anymore because the idiots in town salt them without clearing the roads, first.

Also this certainly isn't Climate Change or El Niño out here. :P Nobody believes in Climate Change/Global Warning or El Niño because we've always been getting freakishly warm Decembers or random snowstorms in May & June. (I was once riding my bike and suddenly got snowed on. D: ) For us, El Niño is El Normal

I tired of this.

Global warming causes more snowstorms. The higher temperatures cause more water to evaporate and wahteverjskgfbia jao jglr japgirgj dkjgaog jgkkdsg

El Niño is defined by prolonged differences in Pacific Ocean surface temperatures when compared with the average value. The accepted definition is a warming or cooling of at least 0.5 °C (0.9 °F) averaged over the east-central tropical Pacific Ocean.
There's nothing to "not believe in". It's just an observation of oceanic temperature changes. Those temperature changes can have noticeable effects on weather patterns. It happens whether you understand it enough to "believe in it" or not.

ps. it's snowing in Australia's mountains. WHITE CHRISTMAS.

It doesn't snow in Oregon. It rains.

Our Christmases are gray, not white.

The only thing I don't get about it, is that it seems like every Winter gets colder and colder.

IT MAKES NO SENSE, I TELL YOU!

Question: You ever gone skiing? I imagine it's actually pretty fun. (My sister has O.I so nah we don't go skiing.)

Average temperature in ocean is rising -> Water evaporates -> Gaseous water travels to cold climates, contributes to storms -> storm clouds, snow, etc insulate atmosphere and ground-level planet against heat -> Winter lasts longer, colder -> Equatorial shift between seasons trumps Winter -> "cycle" increases in imbalance each time, as greenhouse gasses and heat production causes summer heat to lock-in -> oceanic currents carry more heat, still, causing an increase in precipitation...

Overall, the differences between seasons just get more and more extreme until one (Winter) "wins" over the other and becomes semi-permanent, as I understand. The global average temperature rises which causes winter weather to increase in intensity through increases in precipitation caused by the temperature increase.

The east wind off the lake has actually been preventing a lot of snowfall here in town---like, you get out into the suburbs, there's apparently foot-high drifts all over. Hard to believe it's even the same state.

There's big rain in LA, and a cold front coming here in MD, when they get together, there will be a lot of snow.
