People that think some words are swears, when they're not really swears

SRSLY. People that think that words like "Hell", "Crap", and "Butt" are swears don't know anything about swears. "Hell" is the only one that could be even CONSIDERED a swear.

I almost got banned at another forum for using this image in my sig.

I honestly don't see why people can't loosen up a bit. Swearing is like anything else. It's funny the first few times, but overuse it and it gets old fast. -CSM

Swear words are a crutch, anyways, used when one find appropriate words to use. Depending on the context, they're also disrespectful to the reader for no apparent reason.

I'm for the ability to use it, though, because sometimes you just want the punch of a good curse word.

No, but unless you're talking in a clinical practice (e.g. you're a doctor, and the topic is or relates masturbation in a sensible way), you're derailing the thread with your cunning linguals. I suppose this dates back to the old puritanical societies.

Actually in my view "Crap" would be the swear word on that list. I'm not bother on swearing really, but this is sort of a family site. So it's best to keep it clean.

School might suck, and the internet might suck, but the only real reason not to swear in the real world is because of the very real threat of offending someone with bigger muscles than your own.

I very happily use the most offensive of words, simply for the reason that they are. Of course, it must be in a suitable context.
