This. Let's face it. When it comes to Waluigi, you guys are total hypocrits. Nintendo used to treat Luigi in a similar fashion, but everyone still thought he was cool. If Nintendo could just unleash Waluigi's potential instead of using him as filler, you'd probably change your opinion.

Luigi had the benefits of:
--Being playable in canonical Mario games since 1983
--Being the best jumper in SMB2
--Being in the Mario cartoons and having a personality
--Not having a stupid, stupid, stupid name

Waluigi has none of those things. Stop trying to compare fresh apples to wax oranges.

Waluigi is good, because he is a ripoff of Wario, yet instead of being anti-Luigi, he winds up being purely bizarre, like the abstract art cousin to Luigi rather than his evil version.

He is maligned due to his original appearance, in which he was truly poorly made--a purple psychopath with laser eyes and a growling snarl with every tennis hit.

However, he has developed into a full character once the evil character-destroyers Camelot are lost control over him. Now that he is duly free of his bonds, he has learned air-swimming, puke-causing eggplant throwing, bomb hurling, disco dancing, and most importantly...

...

I thought about that. It makes more sense that slapping "WA" on the front of Luigi. that means the most evil letter in Mushroom kingdom must be "W".

But for some reason, he doesn't really look like a Ruigi (or Γuigi, or whatever). Ruigi just doesn't sound evil.

OK, there are really 2 different sides of Waluigi: the comic-relief one and the sinister one. The comic-relief Waluigi actually does suck. Unfortunately, the sinister one only makes cameos. The sinister Waluigi is the one that's awesome.

If they did that, he wouldn't be nearly as retarded a concept. The W thing, as well as the upside-down L thing just don't work for his name, though.
