What the hell is this?! This is the crappiest comic strip to ever exist! All that ever happens is Cathy has some kind of problem about her clothes or her diet! It's not even funny! Isn't that the point of most comic strips? To be funny? Whoever wrote this should get their cartoonist liscense revoked so they can never stain the good name of comic strips ever again!

No it's the 2nd worst comic strip ever. Family Circus is so incredibly bad I almost laugh at how pathetic it is sometimes.

^^^You're kidding, right? Family Circus isn't supposed to be a really funny comic, it's more of a feel good comic. And to say that it sucks is completely off base.

Family Circus does not make me feel good. It makes wonder why the writer has made the family eternally trapped in the past, and why he has made the kids so stupid.

Do you even know how little kids act? I'm around them all the time at church, and all little kids act like that. Kids don't remember details that don't benefit them (ex: food). And all kids like to think of rediculous names for things. "Barfy" is actually pretty tame for a lot of the other things I have heard.

You haven't given a reason for why they seem to be trapped in 1960.

I don't know any adults who would let their kids name their dog barfy.

Shouldn't Batman, Ironman, Spider-man, the Hulk, and the X-Men all be retired by now, if not dead? But I don't see you complaining about those now do I?

Yes they do. It's caled For Better Or For Worse and Baby Blues. And whether or not they age them comic strips with living creators mention some mordern or atleast use some more modern themes then the FC does.

@UG174:You should understand that different people like different stuff. What makes some people laugh, sometimes aren't funny to others? Like me for instance, I can't stand watching "The Office", yet so many people I know love it.

Family Circus and Cathy really are boring.

Peanuts note: The characters did age, just very slowly. I think it's most noticible with Linus & Sally in the older years and Rerun in the newer.
