Someone stole my idea for a movie! - VGF

Hey! First time posting on VGF in a looooooooooooonng time. Anyways. About 7 months ago, I came up with what I thought was a great idea for a film. Since then I've decided I want to make this movie and become a film-maker, maybe as a career. The idea was basically to document what it'e REALLY like to be an American teenager. Do those jock/nerd/etc cliches really exist? I'd even a little imaginay trailer in my head.

So I'm browsing the internet, and I find THIS!

And I'm like WHAT!!?!

Ive another similar, although slightly different idea as well, but now Im feelin hella discouraged. People would think i just ripped this off!

They just played that at the Philadelphia Film Festival.

I didn't see it, but the people who did said it was awesome.
