It doesn't do that for me, but it does freeze up from time to time. That being said, it's still way better than IE. -CSM

It does it when you type an address and press shift-enter. It's convenient. Really. You can also do ctrl-shift-enter to do a .org.

Tangential note: Firefox fills in the URL smartly, so you can type google/mail, hit ctrl-enter, and Firefox will go to google.com/mail

Randomness is an idempotent quality - after you apply it once, you can apply it as many times as you wish to your sentence and retain the same meaning.
