Depression due to a series ending

I swear to God, every time I watch/read/play something and it ends, I get so ****ing depressed for a couple of days.

Well, unless it ends on a bad note, you have no reason to be depressed about a series ending.

The creators are just moving onto something else.

I usually feel less than satisfied with an ending. I don't want things to end usually.

And some endings leave me too confused to be able to NOT be depressed.

Yeah, I know exactly how you feel.

I was really depressed when I finished Azumanga, but, you know, it's not like the series could've continued forever. It would've just gone downhill.

I think this is the one solace of Shenmue III's slim chance of release...I'll never have to deal with the end of that epic story. But I still want it so badly...

However, when Lost ends 2 years from now, I won't know what to do with myself.

That's the great thing about movies. Save for the few that have sequels, you already know it's going to be over when it's over.

I especially hate when things get cancelled and are given hasty endings. See: Megas XLR, Firefly (not so much of a hasty ending, or even an ending really), Journeyman (this had a lot of potential).

To Journeyman: Just watch Quantum Leap. Best theme song ever.

I think it's worse when you realize a show will not be ending anytime soon when they really should.

See: Scrubs. I hear they may do a season nine. ~_~

Do you mean eight?

Or are they making two seasons on ABC now?

Seriously? The minute I saw a promo for Journeyman I thought "poor man's Quantum Leap".

As for Scrubs, I also hear that ABC would like to do more than one additional season...yet Zach Braff says that this season will definitely be his last.

Well, I don't really get depressed when a game ends but I just don't like the way it ends, no matter how good it is, I always think "Oh, that should have happend" and I think like that for a while 'till a new game intrigues me.

I hear they want to introduce new characters and do more dramatic storylines. Scrubs was becoming a soap opera since the end of season six. Plus, it's just not Scrubs without Zach doing narration.

Quantum Leap's theme sons just makes me extremely nostalgic. That and Quincy's theme song remind me of my childhood.
