I really, really, really, really, REALLY did not want to make a topic about this website because I didn't want to send people to it and thus boost its claim on Alexa. But the website, an affiliate of Fox News, brags about how it opens debate and is "fair and balanced." (click the link at your own risk). But as you'd expect, they're not "fair and balanced" at all. In fact, anyone with a quarter of a brain could realize they're spinning stories. This is the most recent one (I'm not linking you to the website here, but to a watchdog group). Here's the link: News Hounds: Fox Nation Plays Race Card Against Obama Administration Basically, the post I'm linking to talks about a Fox Nation post which was in turn a link to an article (that was apparently taken down) in a newspaper for a Phoenix suburb that talked about how Eric Holder is going after Joe Arpaio (thank God someone has the balls to take on the sheriff who (or at least whose deputies) thinks he's (they're) above the law). Fox Nation asked why he wasn't going after the Black Panthers, but the article, which (for some reason was taken offline, despite being linked to from the front page), apparently didn't mention anything about the Black Panthers. Still, someone posted the n-word in the comments on Fox Nation (as you can see from the main link I'm pointing to). This isn't the first time Fox Nation has been allowing racism. There have been many other instances of either subliminal messages, promoting racism, or spinning unbiased articles. It sickens me. (I could talk more about Joe Arpaio, but that's another topic for another time). -CSM |
