Falling for a co-worker from a foreign country.

Sometimes you really like a girl, and sometimes they really like you back. I work with this girl from a foreign country (un-named for certain reasons) and before I met her she married this loser who's nothing more than an alcoholic and pothead who mows lawns. She is an extremely talented artist. The reason I think she married was because she wanted to become a US citezin. Well I met her at the office and it we definitely hit it off from there but we never actually told eachother how we felt because it would've been awkward. Well, I came into work today and found out she was pregnant with the loser she married. Apparently she didn't know she was now three weeks pregnant. The man yelled at her at her house and was obviously pissed. She's made it as an appearance as she actually likes this guy but I can't figure out for the life of me why she'd actually like him. Well I talked to her for a while and she told me she had feelings for me recently. I'm confused as hell where to go for this now. She only had a half a year left before she could become a US citezin completely and leave that douchebag. This baby complicates things obviously and I think if I could've and if laws permitted (which they don't) that she divorced him immediately and I would've helped her (maybe even marry her for true love). To throw all this on me made me very upset. I don't want to start dating her knowing she is pregnant with some loser's baby. Who knows...maybe if I had known about her when she first came to the US then things would be different. This is a girl who works very hard and the man is a deadbeat. A baby is gonna screw her life over and I don't know how she will be able to manage.

for those who feel tl&dr here's the summary. I met this girl I worked with for about a year now which we liked eachother secretly (she told me recently). She is a foreigner who married this man 2 and a half years ago "claiming" she loves this deadbeat who doesn't have a steady job and takes advantage of her. Now she finds out she is pregnant with this deadbeat's child and is only a half a year away from becoming a full US citezin. I really feel like this baby is unwanted by everybody (even her). I was going to date her once the citezinship was finalized and so I could get her out of that hellhole where she definitely doesn't belong. Now I don't know what to do as this baby just complicates things. I don't know how I should feel about this. Well it screwed me up mentally today and I know it wasn't intentional and all, but it still sucks. I don't know if I would be ready for something like that...but I want her to be happy and the only way she'd be happy is if when she gets away from that deadbeat. She probably doesn't want to get rid of the child or put it up for adoption and I know she'll keep it. Anyone got any advice?

He knew he was being used. Things like this are common. The only thing I think is that I don't want to be involved in that. I was just going to date her. She certainly has the intelligence and money to live on her own if she wanted. I couldn't see any way I would be "used". I'm not going anywhere near that child.
