Blackouts

Especially the neighbourhood right next to mine who had no power for over a week.

Over a week?! And the city did nothing?! Well the city hasn't been known for promptly responding to stuff...or even giving a warning. (eg not even saying they were going to close a street down for a week so peoples' cars get trapped in the garage, closing the entire street without putting detour signs)

Yeah the same thing happened here but it was right at the same time they finally got power back to the neighbourhood nearby. o.o

Wow. That's nasty. I was going to say, 'A UPS system would stop that', but not for an entire week.

You should probably get your own generator. @_@

Most garage's have a manual open thingy.

Meh, I love blackouts. It gives me a reason to be outside and go do stuff.

I remember that happened over here a couple years ago during Winter while I was browsing VGF.

I was all "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-"

No, the cars were trapped because the street got closed down. He was talking about 2 different events.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

A Week?! Man, I'd have already killed everyone in the neighborhood and made a hut from their skulls by Day 5.

Colorado but the city is known for doing stupid things.

Like deciding to jackhammer at 3 AM in the morning when there's no pipe leak, putting up "Left lane closed", "Right lane closed" and "Centre lane closed" signs within twnety feet of each other , knock out the water for repairs without saying anything, close streets with no sign leading to a detour, set a 55mph speed limit sign right next to a 35mph speed limit, not tell someone that a stop sign is blocked, and leave a broken stop sign in a residential neighbourhood for years despite numerous complaints.
