I've been meaning to read some of Jungi Ito's work for a while now!

Hopefully those images weren't spoilerific D:

I actually wanted to look for specific images from a story I read about people turning into spirals, because that disturbed me the most, but I couldn't find them so I grabbed random images from Google that I thought were also appalling.

only number three. Except it's so out of context it's not going to make sense.

To be entirely honest, don't read some of Junji Ito's work before bed - you might end up laughing so hard you can't sleep. The Hanging Balloons, Ice Cream Bus, and Enigma at Amigara Fault are just plain HILARIOUS. I mean, the Hanging Balloons is all about balloons shaped like peoples' heads who try to hang people with the string. xD

    DON'T. READ. GLYCERIDE.

    IT IS DISGUSTING

    By the way....

    ^Naturally, I just read it.

    Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

But that doesn't creep me out.

The spiral people creep me out the most.

    Freaking. . .*shudder*

Oh you must be talking about the

...to be entirely honest, that's the least scary thing in there.

For that matter, can we add uncanny valley in terms of creepiness in here? Because I got one from Tales of Rebirth.

AAAAAAAAH!! What's wrong with your waist?! Yeah, uh, let's just say Symphonia was around when the art was getting less creepy (Rebirth wasn't made by teh same team despite coming after) and it was... holy crud. D: it started to get consistently better after Tempest.

I used to love reading this book in middle school, the artwork on the cover will always be embedded in my head.

Like any good Catholic household, mine growing up had a martyrology or two lying around, occasionally containing grisly artwork that simultaneously horrified and fascinated my young mind.

Explains a lot, doesn't it? :propeller:

I don't remember if my parents wanted me leafing through them as a young kid, but I probably got away with it because the books were religious.
