The pilot was really Family Guy with a different family, but the show seems to have some good for it -- veered off the "mirror" road, as well. And it's funny. Opinions? |

None of the characters were interesting, despite one being an alien and another a fish. But what I think really killed the show for me was seeing an hour of Family Guy before. That episode was freakin' sweet. (Reference intended.) I mean, it was just hilarious. Then I watched American Dad and it wasn't even half as funny. They both are made by the same people and use the same animations and yet one is so much funnier than the other. What am I supposed to think? And the characters are better in Family Guy. |

If anything the hour -- HOUR -- of the Simpsons we had beforehand redeemed it. Why the **** do they still air that crap? BLAH. |

Yeah, I said it. And I stand by it. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Anyway, I really enjoyed the new Family Guy, but American Dad just didn't interest me. I watched the first 10 minutes and just didn't feel like finishing the episode. The characters all annoy me. Every one of them.

The problem is my dad's always up out in the living room late, so I can't really watch that much late TV and don't get much Family Guy. My dad actually started downloading episodes (PERFECTLY LEGALLY OF COURSE), however, so I should watch more of it. |

American Dad... gah. I'm not really laughing a lot at it. Can't really say a lot about it. I can, however, say a lot about how great Family Guy is.

I think that it ended a lot later than some people seem to think, but Futurama really pwns it now, that's for sure. American Dad really isn't very funny. It's just... not. I was hoping it'd get funnier, but it really hasn't. |

I think the premise had potential, but it's Family Guy with a slight political bent--not even that pronounced. They could make it decent if they stuck to topical humor (South Park-ish, though nothing can ever climb that holy mountain), changed the art and got rid of... well, all the characters as is. |

A fish who used to be a German guy? An alien? Come on. Brian and Stewy (or however you spell it) are weird enough. |

I find it funny, and sometimes more serious than Family Guy, which I don't have a problem with. Eh. |
