That was pretty sad. Wonder how the other actors felt about his death.

In the show, didn't they say now the dad is dead? That's pretty sick, if you ask me, to patronize John's death like that.

I will have you know it is one of the highest-rated shows on ABC & it took away first place in all the Nielson ratings last night.

Yes....The dad is dead....they covered that already.

How else were they to write him out of the show? IMO, it was a VERY touching and VERY well-written episode. The ratings from last night shows it, too.

They only mentioned it once...he collapsed in aisle 3 of the grocery store...They didn't really talk about how Paul died, because they were moping the entire episode.

That was 1 hour of the most boring TV in the world. Ritter would've probably wanted them t continue. Bah... I predict this show gets canned this season.

At first I thought it was messed up that they kind of "capitalized" on his death, but then I realized that it was the only logical was to write him out of the show.

</font>
It's very possible that the high ratings were because of the amount of people curious about how they wrote him out of the show, like me.

I agree with Green Yoshi... the way the show's going now, it's sure not to last. I mean, Ritter was practically the main character.
