Reality Television

Who watches this absolute and utter crap? I'm just curious. I remember how much my parents used to tell me how TV rotted your brain... and when this crap began to air, I have to say -- they were right.

The only one I find good, actually, is Last Comic Standing, because it's really just a comedy contest, and that's always fun. On the plus side, some of the people are really damn funny... wjereas some others couldn't stand up out of a paper hat(Ba-zing!). =p

I really am a huge fan of SURVIVOR and The Amazing Race.

It was good when it started, but now it makes anything 4kids dubs look enjoyable.

There's a couple of decent ones, but the very fact that The Swan exists is enough to make me want the entire format erased.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I hate them. They're also getting very shallow. 'Average Joe'. 'The Swan'.

Last Comic Standing was good, even though Dat Phan won. BLECH

"Reality TV" is an oxymoron. There's jack **** real about it. Survivor and the Real World use scripts.

I hate Reality TV, because none of it's actually real. Did you see the final episode of The Apprentice? It was staged! Literally!!

My friends and I were sugar-high one day, and we somehow got onto this subject...

HOW REALITY TV CAME TO BE

There used to be a superhero called Reality Man, and he saved the world from all that is fake and stupid. But after he got drunk or something like that, he mixed his metaphors(sort of) and though "Reality" meant "Fake and stupid." When that got out of hand and he created such as Slapstick Comedy, the Legion of Head Superheroes took away his powers.

He decided that he would become a FOX TV Programming Planner. He made crappy shows that revolved around his idea of "Reality". FOX Stuck with the name Reality and took it to a whole new level. Then of course Other TV shows decided to try to beat FOX and make other Reality shows.

And that, my friends, is how this crap came to be.

I'm sure. That's why they've made some episodes and seasons so predictable and boring. You know, to lose viewers on purpose!

The producers themselves have admitted the shows are scripted.

I love "Joe Schmo", "Who wants to be a Millionaire" was good with Regis on it, and I liked the first season of "The Mole". Everything else is crap.
