There's this show I used to watch all the time when I was really, really young. However, for the life of me I can't remember the title or any of the characters names. I've searched up and down through google, imdb, and wikipedia. The show was Australian, I think. It could have been from somewhere else, I just know it wasn't American. It used to air in the early-mid 90's in Canada on TVO weekdays after school. The show centred around two older kids, a boy and a girl, siblings I think. They had a friend who was from the moon. She was there because the moon people were upset because the people of Earth had started dumping their garbage there. She had a bodyguard I think and would sometimes call the moon on a regular phone. What I remember most was that there was a device that looked like a slide. You would write the name of anywhere you wanted to go, and when you slid down it you would instantly be there. I also remember that there were aliens who wanted to destroy the earth or something. The girl was secretly communicating with the aliens, trying to stop them. Eventually, she and her brother got onto their mothership and discovered the aliens were giant caterpillars. In the end, they talked the aliens out of destroying earth, by telling them they could become butterflies. Please, I know this show exists, I just need to know the name!!! |

It was called "The Miraculous Mellops", it aired for 2 seasons in 1991-92 and had 40 episodes. I read a detailed outline of it on wikipedia that had a lot of stuff I had forgotten. If you think what I wrote sound crazy you have no idea!!! But, I can easily say this is the best kids show ever made, and if anyone here ever gets the chance to watch it, jump on the opportunity! |
