According to some study or another.

What you say?

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Indeed, what of the Simpsons? Surely, they're more influential than Everybody Loves Raymond.

^You've never heard of Bonanza? Pfft.

I'd definitely drop thirtysomething, thus opening a space for The Simpsons.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

'Bonanza', a TV family show? I'll buy that for a dollar. Might as well just toss the 'Dukes of Hazzard' on there; the family relationships that connect Luke, Bo, Daisy and Uncle Jesse make for gripping television.

I'm glad 'All in the Family' is on the list. I can't imagine why 'Honeymooners' is, though; I mean, it's a great show and all, but there's just Ralph and Alice; two people doesn't really count as a family, does it?

I'm not gonna argue with Everybody Loves Raymond. The Barones are pretty messed up.

The absense of the Ricardos, the Simpsons, and in my opinion, the Banks makes this list null and void.

The Ricardos were probably TV's first interracial couple (I haven't been around long enough to know for sure) and they were one of the funniest families on TV, too. Sure, there were only two of them, but they are surely more recognized than most of the families on there.

The Simpsons... do I really need to explain?

The Banks were great for the fact that all of them were exteremely different. Carlton the crazy, suck-up nerd who you can't help but love, Hillary the dumb valley girl with a passion for hats, cousin Will, the ladies man who gets blamed for everything that goes wrong, Phil, the somewhat hypocritical father figure of the family, the original Aunt Viv, Geoffry, the butler who wasn't really a part of the family but provided smart remarks at the right time, and my personal favorite, Ashley, who we watched grow up from an innocent little girl to a sarcastic (and beautiful) young woman.
