Family Guy is great at its best, but an average Futurama episode is easily as funny as the best Family Guy episode, and it's consistently funny all the time. Futurama is the real spiritual successor to the old Simpsons - comedic gold, all the time.

Family Guy V.S. Futurama? Family Guy is so much better.... Don't get me wrong Futurama is good. But Family Guy has more charactors and has better story line and its funnier.

Depends. Futurama is better on average, but when Family Guy does it right, they put out a much better product. When they do it wrong, they put out something very mediocre. -CSM

Definitely Family Guy (I never really got into Futurama) but South Park owns them both.

Futurama any day, I love it.

Family guy is great when its great, but when its not, it's terrible. Futurama hits the nail on the head in almost every department and is consistenty funny as well as being occasionally sentimental.

Family Guy, just by a little. Both are amazing, although there are a few Futurama episodes that I can do without.

Futurama is on at the better time, but Family Guy is slightly better.

Family Guy peaked in year two (Ya know, when nobody else was watching it) and its just been on a slide ever since. Futurama was stronger in every episode than Family Guy and is simply written better 98% of the time.

Monty Python and the Simpsons > Futurama and Family Guy

(Note: New Simpsons need not apply.)

I think Family Guy still has some strong bits in recent episodes. It's mainly a few isolated jokes and not the entire plot that's great, though. I haven't seen much of Futurama so I can't compare it with that, but of the most recent episodes I would say South Park > Family Guy > Simpsons.

Actually, that's what I think about those shows in general.

Futurama. It's just a lot more clever, though I do enjoy the out of the blue type humor of Family Guy.

Family Guy is starting to get pretty predictable. Their references to other shows and celebrities was pretty hilarious at first, but now it makes up a third of their humor. Not to mention how unoriginal it is, it's basically another Simpsons without any mentionable plot. Futurama is pretty damn awesome, and I have a feeling that half the people that would take Family Guy over it have likely seen as many if not more reruns of Futurama as I have. Although, Futurama is a completely fictional environment, so they can pretty much do anything they want with it.
