Why is it so hard to watch TV these days?

I hate how networks have lost so much faith in television shows, they don't even allow 3 month replacement shows (i.e. Day Break) to continue for the full run (and the show was just getting good too).

Hmm. Must be an American problem. :P
If you can avoid the multitude of rubbishy gameshows and reality TV, then you can usually find something over here. Especially on BBC, which is pure gold around autumn/winter.

I like the repeated American disses from EU members. Not saying that you're dissing Americans, but I'm just saying....
Anyway:
Class of 3000
Spongebob (I'm a child at heart man )
Anything on NFLN
Re-runs of:
Amen
Cosby Show
Wayan's Bros.
1 on 1
Good Times.

Yeah, I don't watch TV much anymore.

A lot of people seem to like CO3000. I saw it once and it didn't actually suck, as everything else on Cartoon Network's lineup sucked so badly.

I don't watch much TV. Nothing interests me much.

HBO cancelled 'Deadwood'. That's all I have to say on this subject.

BBC has some great comedy. I especially love panel shows like Buzzcocks and QI. I also love Friday Night With Jonathan Ross. At the moment there are only two shows I don't want to miss: 24 and the Dutch version of X Factor.

^^ 24 rocks. Completely.

My list of shows are as follows:

24
Lost
House
Grey's Anatomy
The Office
Studio 60

I find them all to be pretty good.

The reason Day Break was cancelled because the ratings for it were abysmal.

<--- is going through Lost withdrawl

That's pretty much the point I'm making.

I watched the show, I enjoyed it. OK, it had bad ratings, they didn't have to renew it for a second season (it fact, with the format of the show, which planned to have one repeating day a season, it could surivive pretty good as a stand alone).

But to cancel it halfway through it's run? What's the point other than to have a half dozen unwatched episodes lying around?

I wouldn't think it would be to save Lost's timeslot, since ABC already announced the show is moving to 10.

EDIT: OK, I found out ABC is playing the remaining episodes online. However, that wouldn't be good for someone outside of the US (like me), who can't watch the episodes online due to "copyright" reasons (like, come on, I'm in the same time zone for crying out loud)

I don't find it hard to watch TV at all. Can't wait for Armed and Famous on CBS in January... celebs training to be police officers... Jack Osbourne... tee-hee.

Because you threw your Wiimote through it.

Lucky for me, I don't pay much attention to new shows. I kinda like Heroes and thought Runaway would be good before it got yanked after like three episodes, but the only new show I'm really into is Prison Break.

Only show on TV I actually make an appointment to watch. I try to catch the Daily Show and the Colbert Report when I can remember to.

The only other time I watch TV is if a movie is on that I want to watch, and thanks to DVR, I can just record it and watch it whenever I want.
