I started too after multiple friends of mine recommended the pilot to me (via Hulu), saying I would really enjoy it. And I do! It's pretty hilarious, and the music and singing on the show is infectious even if you normally aren't into the 'musical' genre. It's not entirely perfect - some of the drama in the first season was a little heavy handed, and a bit contrived - but it's good fun, has some great characters (once you get past the pilot, the stereotypes really take refreshing turns and it's cool to see the character development), and an incredibly soundtrack. |

Cardboard characters with little appeal, weak plotting, people breaking out into song - as show, it's like someone decided to make a show from a distillation of everything I find wrong with Disney movies. |

Your other points are totally valid though; those are why I don't watch it. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I thought the episode before the hiatus was really good. |

I disagree with the characters though - they play up on stereotypes in a refreshing way. I agree the plot is not the strongest (though the later episodes were very strong). But it's still fun to watch. | |

I still see bits and pieces since my family watches it. What annoys me most about the song sections is how overproduced they are - they sound like someone replaced the audio with an overdub of a fully produced single, rather than keeping any characteristics of the environment they are singing in. |

At least with a full-on musical, the instruments are supposed to be coming out of nowhere. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Also other problem: Mercedes, Kurt, and Artie are my three favorites. They need more songs. MORE SONGS DAMMIT. |
