After a while of thinking, it all seems to just boil down to a person being shy and lacking self-confidence. Sure, I can relate to times when I thought my 'motor skills were low' and all that stuff; there's always a time when you can relate to the symptoms shown at one time or another. In my opinion, it seems almost like a horoscope: they're quite generic and list things that are attractive to the human 'eye', making them perceive things in such a way that the horoscope was written. Just because a doctor claims you have this doesn't mean you suffer from all of the symptoms. As I said, it's quite easy to relate to the article and past events that make it seem like we suffer from this condition. 2) Even if you're fully diagnosed with this I wouldn't put much mind to it. A little funny story I've got is my sister's boyfriend. Man, is he a joke. He's been 'sick' for three weeks with the cold! This guy is unbelievable; he puts so much crap in his head about being ill and sick that he makes himself think he's still sick. The other day he couldn't go bowling because his back hurt supposedly. However, next day or so I realized that he did not hesitate to buy GTA4 seeing as he was playing it (according to his away message). As my sister quotes, he has 'the plague.' He think he's indeed sick but isn't. So don't go straying your thoughts into this 'diagnosed' sickness. Afterall, you don't catch the cold because it was cold outside, you get it depending on your attitude or stress levels. |

| Godly Member | Don't let this bring you down. You are still like everybody else. At least you are aware of it now. I know of several people who I swear have aspergers but are never told of it. However, sometimes I think it's best people are never told in person about their mental disabilities and setbacks. It only brings the person down more. Whether you have it or not does not change who you are as a person. You are still a human being. __________________ ![]() Click here to level up my card! |

Generally the mild case involves being hard to read by other people, which is evident both in this topic and other ones you made. That said, I wound up asking 'cause I myself used to be incredibly hard to read, and even created a bunch of battles because it looked like I was announcing from up high how all the other people were inferior to me. That said, I don't know much else to say, except no one is perfect and that as long as you don't let it get you down or control your life, it should be just fine. You may wish to seek places to practice being social as well--I did, and it seems to have fixed my own ancient social disabilities. (Though I wasn't affected by aspergers... if you were to ask me, it seemed more like ADD) |
