ZG didn't make it clear she was the person who moved the topic. In fact, she didn't say anything, until she came along and started insisting AI was trying to stab the very heart of every person who suffers from Aspergers. Therein lies the problem, but you clearly wouldn't understand (all being the upstanding members of VGF that you are, making every topic in the excessively obsessive MUST GO HERE correct forum forever [and not for the lulz]). However, let me reiterate, since the mods in particular have absolutely failed at reading comprehension:

The hilarity is how no one wants to extend that kind of courtesy between their peers, but rush to insist AI was harrassing those with a condition and being the meanest person ever (but only because its in a serious forum, mind you). Rather, with the follow-up topic, he was poking fun at the absurbity of the reactions. That's hardly the same as telling "apsies" they're all disgusting people or something to that effect. In fact, he never said or implied anything of the sort.

Now, as for the meme forum. I lock spam. The meme forum is used by mods to just throw their spam into it. Are you getting the idea now? Not only that, but as everyone is overly obsessed with things being in the "right" forum, I will see it as my holy duty to inform you all that a joke is not a meme.

But regardless, isn't this a "vent"? In the venting forum? No one need respond. It isn't open to discussion. I'm simply bitching because the forum needs to be used. The whining forum needs more whining. And so I'm pretty sure none of it needs to be a private discussion. I'm just complaining because this is the forum for it.

It wasn't that he was being mean. He wasn't. He was making a joke. A joke that he didn't intend to have offend anyone, and it offended me, and I told him that, and he didn't acknowledge that. That's what I'm upset about. Nothing against you, but I expected you to take it offensively. However, I'm not going to ask AI to avoid making the joke, "I hamburgled a burger" because I think someone is going to take it badly. People can't censor their humour all the time, just because someone else will be upset over it. What else can I say? I can certainly appreciate that you understand he wasn't going out of his way to hurt anyone.

Like I said, it's really complicated and it's a lot of things. SD, you know me very well, and I know you very well, and well, I feel like, I dunno, that, well, I really don't know how to put it, I guess I'm a little worried that endorsing AI means that, well, people don't really care about me the way I care about all of you.

I know because I've made these mistakes before. And I apologized for them and felt incredibly guilty and I still do. This is because I try to be the nice guy, I guess, but I dunno much else. -CSM

I support AI because I found it funny, not because I suddenly hate you. The long and short of it is, the topic didn't actually have anything to do with you; it wasn't about you, it wasn't about your condition, is wasn't made for you. You took it to heart, against all your own good judgement (and I know how that is), but I'm not having fun at your expense. My opinion of the topic/s and the following reactions don't reflect upon my opinion of anyone involved.

Much like how ZG was going on about how she thought AI was her friend. That won't have changed over some topic on VGF, you know? That doesn't even come into play; it's by coincidence that AI made his topic in the forum she watches over. It's nothing against the people here, or the people who are taking it wrong.

...So uh, I could've summerised that as, "no, I still care". I like talking, though. Whatcha gonna do.

On my side of the fence, it makes me realize what I looked like when I made a big mess over one little guy who couldn't type.

Pretty dang dumb.

Ultimately both sides had some valid points, but no matter who wins, the big and serious arguments about it remain stupid.

Funny thing is my father tried to claim I had it in a subtle way after I read the uproar. Which is ridiculous, as I'm the person who's driven off into the Southwest with a bunch of classmates I hardly knew, far away from my computer, to pretty much party and study artifacts. Not that I need to prove it to anyone, or care what people think I am mentality-wise.

That said, I had this in mind about the aspergers jokes: sometimes it is best to laugh at one self rather than get upset, or if somebody says something ridiculous, not to let it get to you. Getting upset by things like this basically chased me off VGF for almost a year or two--it was when I stopped caring about the small stuff that I actually fit in.

That said, I have no real opinion about the matter, as I consider everyone to be partially correct and the matter to lack a true 'right or wrong.' At the same time, I'm just one guy, so there's no way I can be sure how right anything I say is, so here's what I say:

It's all about context, hombre. Here you are, saying I'm hurting your feelings. I would love to say that no, I could not possibly do that, but I'm a man who believes in truths.

If you were seriously that offended by a topic that I made because it rhymed with another word in the same forum, then I am sorry. I think it is ludicrous for anyone to stop and say that I did something horrible and wrong by making a joke in this forum, but I am sorry that it upset you.

I meant it sincerely that I would make similar mistakes again and again, because I am a person who does not even take this issue seriously. Your mind must be a complete opposite of mine in many circumstances, simply because you deal with Asperger's Syndrome.
