Angry I got fired.

My coworker and I made one mistake, and now I'm out of a job; I have no idea what happened to him.

That job kicked ass, too. $500 every two weeks. F*************ck.

The job of the warehouse workers is basically to move boxes and bring boxes into the office from hospitals, schools, government agencies, etc. Whenever the workers move boxes, they're supposed to scan the barcode and upload it into the company's database. My coworker and I moved at least 70 boxes, each weighing about 50 lbs., to the warehouse, but it had slipped our mind to scan them. Then today, we apparently let some boxes sit for too long. Both were easily manageable mistakes which would take about 5-10 minutes each to correct, but my awful jackass of a boss decided that would take too long and decided to shoot his company in the foot by firing me and probably the other warehouse worker.

I'll be first to admit mistakes were made, but they could have easily been resolved and holy sh*t the world wouldn't have ended.

The guy is nuckin' futs anyway. A couple weeks ago, he told the warehouse supervisor and I that he had fired one lady after she'd collapsed under the stress of spousal abuse and ran out of the office crying. He said since he couldn't trust her to do her job, she shouldn't deserve to work there. I am totally serious.

That sucks to hear. Getting fired by an arsehole of a boss is one thing, but getting fired by an arsehole of a boss from a job that earns you good money is even worse.

Simply admit you made a mistake, even though it was a small one, and your boss didn't take the right steps to solve the problem and is thus the major reason.

Also, while you lost the chance to earn good money, just remember you don't have to work for your old boss anymore and can get another job where the boss is a little smarter. And possibly get some good money on the side.

As someone who got fired before, I give you all my sympathy.

(And I'm probably gonna get fired again because I'm not actually working because the people who are supposed to send me information on the projects I'm working on are on vacation). -CSM

Good job, man. You don't want to be working for an ass like that, and you probably pissed him off. Two points for Dylan.

Eh, I eventually got fired from a job because I lodged a formal complaint with my supervisor about safety issues at work. Sucks when you have to suffer through an ass of a boss. I feel for ya, man.

Make sure you tell everyone you know that the guy fired that lady for fainting, too. Maybe someone will sue him. Or hit him with their car. *shrug*

She didn't literally collapse, but it was more her emotions just snapped under all the stress and she ran out crying.
