| Godly Member | I owe the court 900 dollars. I owe the court 900 dollars... :-/. A couple of months ago I was at a party. I didn't drink or anything that night but it got busted. I stayed thinking I wasn't in any trouble and played it off as though I just got there. The cop lets me go but then a week later I get a cop at my front doorstep with a summons for underage drinking and a summons for giving a cop a false ID. Apparently he wrote it in the police report that I had given a false identification card to him. I go to court and talk with the D.A a month later and pleaded not guilty in front of the judge. My halfass lawyer wasn't much of a help and my trial today was basically my word against the police report. The judge ruled in favor of the cop and gave me the minimum mandatory fines totaling 900 bucks. I am pissed off that a cop can just lie his way through a police report just to **** with someone! I hate the damn law system! IT IS SO STUPID!!!!!!!!!! I have five months to pay it off but I might just take it out of my inheritance to get it off my shoulders. The D.A was nice enough to take away the time I would get for a class E misdemeanor though. __________________ ![]() Click here to level up my card! |

The powerful using the courts against the common man, with the burden of proof on us, not them? What's wrong with our courts? You can't really expect, though, that your word will be trusted over a cop's. That's just how society works, it can't really be changed. |

Cops shouldn't be your friend until you reach a certain age." Don't get a halfass lawyer next time. Screw the system. It doesn't work. My mother got pulled over for running a red light when she was in the intersection when the light was green. If it were me, I would make a huge deal out of this. -CSM |

| Godly Member | No I had a good lawyer. It's just that the cops lied on the police report and I couldn't prove them wrong. A kid with transportation of an illegal substance and consumption of alcohol got off cuz he refused the breathalyzer at the time and played it off as tho he didn't know the weed was there. It shocks me. __________________ ![]() Click here to level up my card! |

| Godly Member | I've decided once I finish my bachelor's that I may just leave for NYC. I loved visiting there a lot, I can get a job as a draftsman easily with my degree, and I wouldn't have to worry about stupid cops who spend their life to try to get you with every little thing. A bigger city really is for me rather than the small town life anyway. __________________ ![]() Click here to level up my card! |

But it includes a lot of people who are very sensible. When the MTA tried to ban filming on the Subway, there was a huge uproar about that and they lifted the ban. There was also a case of the NYPD doing something I'd expect from cops from Middle America in shooting someone fifty times because he accidently hit a cop car. -CSM |

| Godly Member | Ever heard of excessive force? This was used against me one time when they really really wanted to search my friend's car. They went through a list of 20 excuses before they finally found something. __________________ ![]() Click here to level up my card! | ||
