What a sucky summer.

First I get in a fight with my mom in which even though I have every right to be angry with her, she seems to want to stay in power. Second, I fear I am going to lose Amy as a friend since she seems pretty depressed and is being pretty anti-social. Third, I want to move out of this house, but whaddya know, there are reasons to stay here in SD and go down to Des Moines with two of the others, although my chances of getting into a college there are pretty slim without plenty of money.

This isn't depressing. This is fate giving me the finger.

Seriously though, I didn't say it was easy, but we all have the capacity to feel and recognize this...granted every now and then you get your Anakin's of the world who **** up for 20 years and react in the negative, but if you believe things will be good then they usually end up that way. There's "fate", and then there's self-fulfilling prophecy.

I normally hate pulling out quotes cause I believe in figuring out life for yourself and not relying on what other people say, but Twain said you can't depend on your eyes if your imagination is out of focus. So imagine something funny, like eating salmon. Or Skeeter's voice from Doug.
