It's been shut down for over a week after I paid an annual membership fee. Apparently the owners can't pay a damn water bill. And now I don't know what I should do. -CSM |

If so, you could just use those, pushups, situps, and bike/run until it either opens or you find out if it stays closed. |

I'm so cheap that I'd rather just use what I have around. If I were to take to exercising, anyway. It does suck that your money has been wasted, though. |

Contracts are so freaking retarted, I signed myself into this trap a few years ago to realize two months later I lost motivation to work out and not to mention it was a 30 minute drive to and back from the gym. Anyway, this definitely is not your responsibility nor your call so I hope the best of luck in getting your money back. Kudos if they pay the water bill as well. ![]() |

There are a ton of rumors about plumbing problems and back taxes owed, but I think this guy is a money grabbing SOB. And I'm not joining a new gym until I get a refund. -CSM |

| Senior Member | Do you still have the contract? There may be something in there about refunds if the service ends prior to the agreed period. |

If you decide to take this advice, you should either educate yourself or see an actual attorney in your jurisdiction. File in small claims court. Usually really cheap and you can usually represent yourself. Google whatever city/state you're in to see the rules. Most states allow it for 5K or less, and there's a big tendency for defendants to not show and be held in default judgment. |
