They're making us all cut our work weeks to a 32 hour work week. And that....sucks.... Considering I have VERY little room to cut my budget, I'm really worried. The only thing I can think of is to start bringing lunches to work. Beyond that, well, I'll have to have a part-time job of some kind (which I won't get into yet, first I want to see if I can get into a cheaper apartment after my lease is up). I'm really worried and uncertain. I need solutions/advice/consolation/stuff like that. -CSM |

Some towns even have dollar stores that sell fresh produce and groceries. Finding a cheaper apartment or at least a few roomies is a good idea as well, as long as you don't get stuck in a bad contract or neighborhood. Depending on how much you make and if you are in school or not you can get some pretty good government apartments. If you need a second job try to find something that pays cash like contract work and some temp agencies. A lot of temp agencies can give you work that pays well but only has a few days of actual scheduling so this is fine if you need some quick cash to make ends meet, but don't rely too much on those kinds of jobs. |

NYC also has Met Food and Key Food. And besides, if I take a second job I won't do something menial like that. -CSM |
