Taking a long break from my friends.

I've decided to take at least a month-long break from my friends. Everything is starting to feel like high school again and I hate the drama. I feel as though if I hung out with them this week that it would be exactly like the "crazy shenanigans" I used to do back in high school. I want to be mature enough and to know what an adult should and should not do. Unfortunately my friends don't share my views right now so I have decided to take a break from them for a while.

I don't really understand, sorry. I can't really what you gain from distancing yourself from your friends for a month.

I mean...even if they act immature at times, you can still hang out with them while acting like an adult. Or something.

Being social takes a lot of work, apparently. You have to keep up and watch all the latest episodes of Cambodian Idol and whatnot and be able to list all the characters in Sex and the City.

It's not something I can really explain. Just understand that some people have trouble "growing up" in their 20s. For those who choose to act more responsibly in life, it's not a good idea to be around those who choose to make "bad decisions". Understand that many New Englanders around here like to "make bad decisions" a lot around here and that it is way too common...something that I choose not to be a part of.
