WTF?

At the beggining of the year, my mom told me we were going to get high speed Internet, but now here's the stupid part. They never did.

We were in the middle of August and we were close to the time when we would get it. But then we heard our mom say, "We're not going to get it because they cut it off their--" And then I was mad. Why? Why in the holy heck would they? Sure, our neighbor behind our house(in my topic, "I don't hate him, I just...") gets high speed. He can frolic around the web as long as he wants, and i'm stuck here waiting for about 20 minutes for a dang YouTube video to load up.

That's why I don't think it's fair. Everything on my PC is slow. Well, they better give us high speed before the next few years, or they'll just be put on MY hate list.

You're not paying for it. Your parents don't need to provide you with high speed internet, least of all so you can watch youtube videos.

Sounds like he meant the deal ended before his parents could sign up, and they can't afford it otherwise. I doubt he's on dial-up, though, so it just sounds like he's throwing a fit over not having DSL x 9000

You have my sympathy though. I have a really slow computer at my dad's house (divorced parents thing) that doesn't even work half the time. Fortunately, we got a new laptop...

Y'know what's also bad? Internet that disconnects at random times for twenty seconds, then connects, then disconnects again...

I hated dial-up, but I didn't complain. I was happy to have internet at all.

Yeah it sucks that you can't really watch videos without high speed internet, but at least you can still visit message boards like VGF and communicate with others.

If you really do need to watch youtube videos though I would recommend you open up multiple tab(s) for the movies you want to watch, minimize them and then do whatever you do on the web while waiting for the videos to load. Read some topics and post 2 or 3 times here and I'm sure you'll find that a good 20 minutes or so passed and you just may be able to watch your videos.

When I was young we used Netscape. And no it didn't work, it would always freeze the computer.

I usually visit the forums while waiting for the videos to load up. And MANLY RIPPING MUSCLES, I swear on my life I have dial-up. Well, that proves it...I think.

I don't even have a computer let alone a stable living eviorment I have to go to the library and a local community center to even be able to have access to a computer.
And to make things worse the guy that was going to give me a job today hung up on me because I didn't answer his phone call in time, now I might not have a job. Now thats what sucks.
