My best friend was in an accident.

So my closest and oldest friend Dalton fell off the back of a truck and suffered a major head injury. I traveled 2 and a half hours to see him in the hospital, and he's not doing any worse or better. I feel better just having gone to see him, and knowing he's still breathing, but I'm just praying he pulls through as the same D he always was. I'm not sure what I would do without the kid...

I feel like I should say more, but words fail me...

He's in a room, and he seems to be able to remember everything except exactly what happened. So that's a huuuuge relief. I plan to go visit him again as soon as I can.

^He was playing around and jumped in the back of another friend of mine's truck's bed. When my other friend told him to get out, D seems to have slipped and injured himself, although it's not clear exactly how he did it. My other friend says he had no idea D was hurt and had assumed he left the truck, so he simply kept driving. Some passersby found him later, sitting in the road holding his head. He jumped up, ran back into the house he was visiting, and an adult realized he was bleeding and disoriented.

Ok, accidents happend but we can all learn from this though, don't fool around when you are riding in the back of a truck.

Oh god, that's such a relief to hear. I was fearing the worst when I read the beginning of this.

Well, looks like he's coming home either today or tomorrow, which rocks hardcore. He'll probably have a headache for the next month and he may take a small bit to be 100%, but nothing permanent happened to him. I'm extremely happy to report all of this, but I just might take SD's advice...
