My monitor's getting darker.

Earlier today the display was fine, but by around 10:00, the screen seemed to have suddenly gotten quite a bit darker. I turned up the brightness and contrast all the way and that seemed to help slightly, but now it's back to the way it was before.

Damn it. Does this mean I'm going to have to replace it?

Also, now the color quality's going down. It's like the monitor's not able to display as many colors as normal, and it's doing a crappy job of blending to make up for it.

Sounds like an internal PSU issue.

Is it a CRT? Because if it is, maybe it's just... old. Otherwise, my backup plan is to jiggle cables 'til the cows come home.

That's kind of what I figured.
